Bottle for distilled liquor with exchangeable lid symbols.

This object expresses the special design vocabulary as evolved through technical requirements of the distillery process. The principle of „aesthetics following design" was my leitmotiv in the creation of this bottle. Large, easy to clean surfaces, a geometrically shaped main body and a wide bottleneck for clean, turbulent-free flow – these were the design-defining elements. The exchangeable lid symbols look like roughly sketched margin notes frequently found in the world of distillery, and they form a good contrast to the geometrical shapes used in the body.

The surface consists of three soldered bodies and a drawn-in bottom forming an inclined object with a maximum of practical usefulness. The lid is provided with a gasket and is held in position by suction. This guarantees tightness and prevents evaporation of alcohol during prolonged storage periods.

The lid symbols are screwed on. There are five different motives, one for each of five different groups of liquor: sugar cane, agave, aniseed, fruits and wheat products. Simply chose a symbol matching the content, and you always know what‘s in the bottle.
